Frequently Asked Questions

What is Recruitment?

Recruitment is a series of social, professional and community service events open to all students who have interest in joining our organization.  Our events give recruits a chance to meet brothers, learn about our organization and improve personal and professional skills.

Who is eligible for recruitment?

Second semester freshmen, sophomores, and juniors with a GPA over 3.0 may have the chance to join during the fall or spring semester.  You may join Delta Sigma Pi if you are already a member of another social or professional (non-business) fraternity, sorority, or honor society. You may not simultaneously maintain membership in Delta Sigma Pi and Alpha Kappa Psi, Phi Gamma Nu, or Phi Chi Theta.

What are Speed Interviews/Bids?

In order to be invited to Speed Interviews, recruits must complete the recruitment process and attend a minimum of 5 recruitment events indicated by the Senior Vice President. At this event, each student has the opportunity for a personal interview with each current Brother. After the process, the Chapter deliberates on an individual basis and decides to extend a bid or invitation for the student to join the pledging process of the Fraternity.

What is a pledge?

A student can become a pledge once they receive a bid to join DSP and accept the bid in the Formal Pledging Ceremony.  This ceremony and the acceptance of the bid is the start of the 5-week pledging process.

Please contact us if you have any general questions or inquiries about DSP or our chapter!
